What data
We only process data relevant to your care: identification details (name, date of birth, contact), medical history, examination findings and treatment progress, and administrative data (invoicing, health insurance fund).
Purposes and legal basis
- Patient care and treatment - necessary to perform the care agreement and meet professional healthcare obligations.
- Appointment management via Progenda - necessary to perform the agreement.
- Invoicing and statutory retention periods - legal obligation.
- Communication by email, phone or WhatsApp - based on your request/consent.
Retention period
Medical records are kept for the statutory retention period for patient data in Belgium. Accounting documents are kept for the legal period.
Recipients
Your data is never sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes. As part of your care - with your consent - we may communicate with your GP or specialist. For the calendar we use Progenda (processor, EU).
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete and restrict your data and to object to its processing, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
